On top is the Barrett MRAD . Initially offered only in .338LM for $6000, Barrett just brought its $1500 conversion kits (bolts, barrels, and magazines) to the market.
Ive been going and forth between the MRAD and the 98B. I like that that 98B come with the bipod and the monopod already installed and still comes in at about 1000 less than the MRAD. The biggest thing that keeps me interested in the MRAD is its ability to change calibres later down the line when the conversion kits are released. I wanted to get a 308 rifle, and figured getting the MRAD and a 308 conversion kit for later on, I could have a two in one rifle and not have to buy two expensive scopes. However much of this equation is dependent on what the price of the conversion kits will be. Does anyone have any ideas on this ?
